Jakarta Orang-utan project

The Orang-utan project is designed to prevent our closest relatives from becoming extinct. Numbers worldwide have dropped from several million to less than 14,000, and without help, these relatives of mankind could well be extinct by 2020.

To help this endangered species, the Jakarta Orang-utan project tours various international cities throughout the world, such as Berlin and Chicago, and uses the proceeds of the exhibition to support the largest project in the world devoted to returning orang-utans to the wild.

Over 250 life-size orang-utan statues can be seen in the exhibition - and AP&P are actively supporting this important project.
